Who Is Ivana Kotov?
Over the last 20 years, Ivana Kotov has been performing as a lead singer, composer, choir director and vocal arranger, leaving her heart-printed artistry on tours, seminars and vocal workshops around the globe.
With permanent address in the very heart of New York City Ivana’s musical canvas is stretched across the 7 seas of hundred music collaborations and studio projects in both US and EU music-verses of Smooth Jazz, Soul and Gospel.
Born in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, where she was musically active performing along the jazz masters of her native soil,
Ivana launched into the American Jazz Saga in 1999 - when she auditioned for Berklee College Of Music in Boston, MA.
Among thousands of other candidates, Ivana was awarded the highest entering talent scholarship award with honorary acceptance to Berklee. Mentored by the greatest coaches of the Berklee-verse, Ivana widely mastered her musicianship in the fields of Jazz Composition, Soul Vocal Performance, Gospel Arranging and Music Therapy.
In the last decade, Ivana has built a star map of interstellar connections within her journey through the stars.
During her vocal collaboration with the Acid Jazz pioneers - The Brand New Heavies and songstress N’Dea Davenport, Ivana had a privilege to tour the World and share the jazz stages with the greats such as George Duke, Stanley Clarke and Oleta Adams, performing at the events such as Blue Note Jazz Festival, B.B. King’s Blues club and at the
Capital Jazz fest, as well as opening the stages for Will Downing, Tamia and Toni Braxton.
In addition to working as a music educator and an international Jazz singer and composer, Ivana has extensive experience as an interior designer and conceptual photographer, designing a series of unique interior and commercial concepts that merge decor, photography, and visual art.
Today, Ivana is living in Manhattan, where she continues to sail the creative world beneath her wings.
